Be Prepared
Not sure how to keep the kids entertained in the school holidays? Start preparing now so that you are ready to go in the Easter break and then plan additional projects for the summer and remainder of the year.
This is such a lovely inexpensive holiday project. It is easy to do and generates conversations about the importance of each aspect of wildlife and nature and how they affect the future. Get them to take photos of the window boxes over the months. So they can see how things grow and change, and they can make a note of the little creatures that it attracts.
Wildlife Holiday Project for All Ages
Have some fun with your family, or on your own! There’s a huge range of indoor and outdoor activities, with things to make, quizzes, and creatures to look out for. Just head on over to The Wildlife Watch – Activities page and let them choose their favourites. If it is something they want to do then they are more likely to stay interested and fully occupied. Failing that, bring them on holiday and stay on our fun and friendly farm. Kids love it here – almost as much as the grown-ups.
