Orders sent by Post – Shipping and processing times
These are the general terms and conditions of sale for La Ferme du Bourdicou Online orders. Read them carefully before making a purchase so you know what to expect.
We make every effort to process and dispatch orders for posting Monday to Friday (except where these days are public holidays in France). Notification of processing and shipping will be provided by email. Please note that we do not ship or process orders on public holidays or weekends.
In the event of a high order volume, your order might be delayed a few days. Please be prepared for this possibility when making your purchase. In the case of any significant shipping delays, we will contact you using the email or phone number provided during checkout.
Acceptable Methods of Payment
- Credit card through the secure online payment app SumUp
- Credit card through the secure online payment site PayPal
- Cash or Cheque in Euros (Farm Gate purchases only)
Shipping costs
- Within Mainland France : Goods are shipped via La Poste or Mondial Relais and according to their terms and conditions.
- Overseas : we always post overseas with insurance and using a tracking system. Your tracking number will be sent to you once the item has been shipped.
In the above cases, the shipping costs will be added to your cart at checkout.

Click & Collect Orders
All the products displayed in our online store can be bought with Click & Collect. Your chosen items are reserved and packaged up for you to collect from Duravel market on Saturdays or from the Farm Gate shop. Orders should be confirmed and paid for by midday Wednesday for collection the following Saturday at Duravel market between 9am and 12pm. Alternatively, the buyer can ask to collect their order from the Farm Gate shop at a mutually agreed time and date. Please note that this is at the buyer’s own risk. La Ferme du Bourdicou cannot be held responsible for any orders that are taken by someone else.
Conditions of sale
These conditions of sale are between La Ferme du Bourdicou, whose registered office is located at Le Bourdicou, Duravel, 46700, registered in France under SIRET number 879043610, hereinafter referred to as “the Company”, and, on the other hand, by any natural or legal person wishing to make a purchase via the website https://fermedubourdicou.com/, hereinafter referred to as “the Buyer”.
Article 1. Object
These terms and conditions of sale are intended to define the contractual relationship between the Company, and the Buyer and the conditions applicable to any purchase made through the website https://fermedubourdicou.com/.
The acquisition of a product through this site implies an unreserved acceptance by the Buyer of these terms and conditions of sale, which the Buyer acknowledges having read prior to placing an order. The Company retains the right to modify these terms and conditions of sale at any time, in order to comply with any new regulations or to improve the use of its site. As a result, the applicable conditions will be those in force at the date of the order by the Buyer.
Article 2. Products
The products offered are those listed on the https://fermedubourdicou.com/ website of the Company, within the limits of available stocks. The Company reserves the right to change the product range at any time. Each product is presented on the website in the form of a description containing its main characteristics (colours, weight, ingredients, etc). The photographs are as accurate as possible, but do not bind the Seller in any way.
The sale of the products presented on the website https://fermedubourdicou.com/ is intended for all buyers residing in countries that fully allow the entry into their territory of these products. It is the foreign buyer’s responsibility to check with the local authority in the country being shipped too, for any restrictions on the import or use of the products or services ordered. Orders delivered outside metropolitan France may be subject to any local taxes, customs duties, dock dues and customs clearance fees upon delivery.
Article 3. Tariffs
The prices are indicated in Euros (€) all applicable taxes included (TTC) and are valid only on the day that the Consumer sends the purchase order. Please note: VAT is not applicable, as per art. 293 B from French General Tax Code. The Company reserves the right to modify its prices at any time, it being understood, however, that the price appearing in the catalogue on the day of the order will be the only one applicable to the Buyer.
The prices indicated do not include delivery costs, invoiced in addition to the price of the products purchased according to the total amount of the order. For orders delivered to a country outside of Europe, there can be additional costs – such as local taxes, customs, import tax or VAT – that need to be paid before the item can be delivered or collected.
These additional costs are not included in the price charged by La Ferme du Bourdicou. The responsibility for paying these charges is entirely with the customer, or the recipient if the product is being delivered to a different address then the Buyer’s. La Ferme du Bourdicou has no control over these charges and is not responsible for paying them.
Article 4. Order and payment terms and conditions
Before any order, the Buyer must create an account on the website https://fermedubourdicou.com/. The account creation section is accessible directly from the main menu bar. At each visit, the Buyer, if the Buyer wishes to order or consult the Buyer’s account (order status, profile…), must identify the Buyer’s identity using this information.
The Company offers the Buyer two payment options :
1. Secure payment by PayPal or credit card (via the PAYPAL system)
The Buyer selects the products they wish to order in the “basket”, modifies if necessary (quantities, references…), checks the delivery address or enters a new one. Then, the shipping costs are calculated and submitted to the Buyer, as well as the name of the carrier. Then, the Buyer chooses the payment method of his choice: “Payment by PayPal”. The next step is to check all the information, read and accept these general terms and conditions of sale by ticking the corresponding box, then invite him to validate his order by clicking on the button to confirm the order.
Please note that payments made by PayPal incur an additional processing fee of 3% on the whole order plus shipping costs. The fee is to cover the processing fees the Company are charged by PayPal for business transactions.
Finally, the Buyer is redirected to the secure PAYPAL interface to securely enter the Buyer’s PayPal account or personal credit card details. If payment is accepted, the order is recorded and the contract is definitively formed. Payment by PayPal account or credit card is irrevocable.
Fraudulent use
In the event of fraudulent use of the card, the Buyer may demand the cancellation of the payment by card, the sums paid will then be credited back or refunded. The holder of a credit card is not liable if the disputed payment has been proven to have been made fraudulently, remotely, and without physical use of the Buyer’s card.
To obtain reimbursement of the fraudulent debit and any bank charges that may have been incurred as a result of the transaction, the cardholder must contest, in writing, the debit from his bank within 70 days of the transaction, or 120 days if the contract binding him to it so provides. The amounts deducted shall be reimbursed by the bank within a maximum period of one month after receipt of the written objection lodged by the holder. No costs of returning the sums may be charged to the holder.
The confirmation of an order implies acceptance of these terms and conditions of sale, recognition of having full knowledge of them and waiver of the right to invoke one’s own terms and conditions of purchase. All the data provided and the recorded confirmation will be proof of the transaction. If the Buyer has an e-mail address and has provided it on his order form, the Company will send by e-mail confirmation of the registration of the order. 2. Secure payment by Credit Card (via the SUMUP app)
The Buyer selects the products the Buyer wishes to order in the “basket”, modifies if necessary (quantities, references…), checks the delivery address or enters a new one. Then, the shipping costs are calculated and submitted to the Buyer, as well as the name of the carrier. The Buyer subsequently chooses the payment method of his choice: “Payment by SumUp”. The next step is to check all the information, read and accept these general terms and conditions of sale by ticking the corresponding box, then invite him to validate his order by clicking on the button “Confirm my order”.
Finally, the Buyer is redirected to the secure SumUp interface to securely enter the Buyer’s personal credit card details. If payment is accepted, the order is recorded and the contract is definitively formed. Payment by credit card is irrevocable.

Article 5. Retention of ownership
The Company retains full and complete ownership of the products sold until full payment has been received, fees and taxes included.
Article 6. Retraction
Under Article L121-20 of the Consumer Code, the Buyer has a period of fourteen working days from the delivery of their order to exercise the Buyer’s right of withdrawal and thus return the product to the seller for exchange or refund without penalty, except for shipping costs.
In all cases, the return must be made in the original packaging of the products, in perfect condition and accompanied by all possible accessories. Products returned incomplete, damaged or used cannot be exchanged or refunded.
NB: This right cannot be exercised for products made to order, personalised or that have been unsealed. [Please refer to the Refunds and Returns policy for full details].
Article 7. Shipping & Returns
Deliveries are made to the address indicated on the order form in the agreed geographical area. Orders are sent via the shipping company so any delivery times are given only as an indication. However, if they exceed thirty days from the order, the sales contract may be terminated and the Buyer reimbursed.
The Company will be able to provide the Buyer by email with the tracking number of his package. If the Buyer is absent when the package is delivered they will receive a notice allowing them to collect the package from the nearest post office, for a period of time indicated by the postal services.
The risks related to transport are the responsibility of the Buyer from the moment the items leave the premises of La Ferme du Bourdicou. The Buyer is required to check in the presence of the shipping company employee or the delivery person, the condition of the packaging of the goods and its contents upon delivery. In the event of damage during transport, any protest must be made to the carrier within three days of delivery.
Article 8. Guarantee
All products supplied by La Ferme du Bourdicou are covered by the legal warranty provided by articles 1641 and following of the French Civil Code. In case of non-conformity of a product sold, it may be returned to the Company who may exchange it or refund it. All complaints, requests for exchanges or refunds must be made by email to beverley@fermedubourdicou.com.
Some products sold by La Ferme du Bourdicou are handmade, therefore variations in size, shape, colour and weight may occur. This is normal and NOT a fault.
Article 9. Responsibility
The Company, in the online selling process, is only bound by an obligation of means. It cannot be held liable for any damage resulting from the use of the internet network such as loss of data, intrusion, viruses, service disruption, or other unintentional problems.
Article 10. Intellectual Property
All elements of the https://fermedubourdicou.com/ website are and remain the intellectual and exclusive property of the Company. No one is authorized to reproduce, exploit, or use for any purpose whatsoever, even partially, elements of the site whether in the form of a photo, logo, visual or text.
Article 11. Personal data
The Company undertakes to preserve the confidentiality of the information provided by the Buyer, which it may transmit for the use of certain services. Any information concerning him is subject to the provisions of Law No. 78-17 of 6 January 1978. As such, the Internet user has the right to access, modify and delete information concerning the Buyer. The Buyer may request this at any time by mail to the following address: beverley@fermedubourdicou.com. Article 12. Dispute resolution
These distance selling conditions are subject to French law. For all disputes or litigation, the competent court will be the Tribunal de Commerce de CAHORS.
In addition, the Buyer can use the European Online Dispute Resolution (ODR) platform if they wish to submit a complaint. The ODR is provided by the European Commission to make online shopping safer by providing easy access to dispute resolution tools.
Article 13. Information Storing
Our Company website fermedubourdicou.com, is hosted by Rob Smith I.T who provides the online platform that allows the Company to sell their products and services. The Buyer’s data may be stored through Rob Smith I.T ‘s data storage and databases on secure servers behind a firewall.
All direct payment gateways offered and used by the Company adhere to the standards set by PCI-DSS and managed by the PCI Security Standards Council. PCI-DSS requirements help ensure the secure handling of credit card information by the Company and its service providers.
